Oriental Lilies have also been called “Orchid lilies” for good reason. They are simply the most exotic and showy of all the lilies. Their fragrance far surpasses that of orchids and they are perfectly hardy harden perennials in zones 5-9. White lilies, Red lilies and Pink lilies are most prevalent in the Oriental lily group, although some salmon, peach, and yellow combo color patterns are to be found. Flowers are exceedingly large, generally borne on tall stems. Oriental lilies are late-blooming, , putting on the grand finale in your garden, July and August. Perhaps the best-known selections from the Oriental lily group are Stargazer, Casa Blanca, Sumatra, Sorbonne, Starfighter, and Rio Negro. These varieties are used extensively inthe florist trade, yet can be easily grown in almost any home garden in the temperate regions of the USA. Big healthy bulbs in our inventory.
