Venice is as choice, patented Astrantia,s reported to be the darkest one currently available in commerce. Solid wine-red flowers with good upright habit, bloom prolifically throughout the summer. Tolerates quite a bit of shade, but can also be grown successfully in full sun in a mild-Winter temperate region. Astrantias are long-living and low maintenance, but must be grown in moist areas. The clumps may take a year or more to fully establish and bloom optimally. Great cut flowers and dried flowers. Grade #1 bare-root divisions are shipped.
